The overall project is funded with 45 million euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an effort to foster regional innovation, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has launched &#8222;Clusters4Future&#8220; as part of its High-Tech Strategy 2025. Das Gesamtvorhaben wird mit 45 Millionen Euro gef\u00f6rdert.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Bundesministerium f\u00fcr Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) hat im Zuge der Hightech-Strategie 2025 den Wettbewerb \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.clusters4future.de\/\">Clusters4Future<\/a>\u201d ausgerufen. Er zeichnet regionale Innovationsnetzwerke aus, die Akteure aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft b\u00fcndeln, um gemeinsam gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen zu begegnen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unter den sieben Gewinnern ist Clinomic GmbH als Teil des Clusters \u201cNeuroSys \u2013 Neuromorphe Hardware f\u00fcr autonome Systeme der K\u00fcnstlichen Intelligenz\u201d, das die Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit Deutschlands und Europas im Bereich der K\u00fcnstlichen Intelligenz f\u00f6rdern will. Ziel von \u201eNeuroSys\u201c ist es, die in Aachen und im Forschungszentrum J\u00fclich betriebene exzellente Grundlagenforschung zu neuromorphen Bauelementen und Algorithmen in eine tragf\u00e4hige Technologiebasis f\u00fcr zuk\u00fcnftige europ\u00e4ische KI-Hardware umzusetzen. Die Vision ist die technologische Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit Europas in diesem ethisch und wirtschaftlich sensiblen Bereich. Am Cluster beteiligt sind die RWTH Aachen, das Forschungszentrum J\u00fclich, die AMO GmbH, die IHK Aachen sowie die Unternehmen AixACCT Systems GmbH, AIXTRON SE, AppTek GmbH, ELMOS Semiconductor SE, RWTH Innovation GmbH und STAR Healthcare beteiligt, ebenso wie die Start-ups AiXscale Photonics UG, Black Semiconductor GmbH und Gremse-IT GmbH. Jeder Zukunftscluster wird vom BMBF mit bis zu 5 Millionen Euro pro Jahr f\u00fcr neun Jahre gef\u00f6rdert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Entwicklungspotenziale in der Medizin&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">K\u00fcnstliche Intelligenz (KI) dominiert auf der Ebene der Algorithmen bereits heute Bereiche wie Computer Vision und Sprachverarbeitung und wird in Zukunft eine immer gr\u00f6\u00dfere Rolle in unserem Alltag spielen. Die technologische Unabh\u00e4ngigkeit in diesem Bereich ist von strategischer Bedeutung, denn KI wird der Baustein f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chste globale Entwicklungsstufe sein \u2013 nicht nur in Bezug auf das Wirtschaftswachstum, sondern auch f\u00fcr die Bew\u00e4ltigung gro\u00dfer gesellschaftlicher Herausforderungen wie Klimawandel, Arbeit oder Mobilit\u00e4t. Insbesondere im Bereich der Medizin und Gesundheitsversorgung ist KI eine Schl\u00fcsseltechnologie, um den kommenden Jahren die Herausforderungen zu meistern, die schon heute deutlich zu Tage treten.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Neuromorphe Hardware f\u00fcr autonome Systeme der K\u00fcnstlichen Intelligenz<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Fokus von \u201eNeuroSys\u201c liegt nicht nur auf den technologischen Aspekten der neuromorphen Hardware, sondern auch auf den damit verbundenen ethischen und sozio\u00f6konomischen Fragen. Im Rahmen des Projekts werden Modelle und Konzepte zur Messung der wirtschaftlichen, sozialen und normativen Nachhaltigkeit der von \u201eNeuroSys\u201c verfolgten Innovationen entwickelt, um den langfristigen wirtschaftlichen Erfolg und den Nutzen f\u00fcr die Gesellschaft insgesamt sicherzustellen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Ziel der Beteiligung von Clinomic ist die Erforschung der Eigenschaften und Einschr\u00e4nkungen neuromorpher Hardware (Technology Push), sowie deren optimale Nutzung aus der Anwenderperspektive (Application Pull). Hierzu werden vier repr\u00e4sentative Anwendungsbeispiele aus Bild-, Video- und Sprachverarbeitung sowie medizinischer Diagnostik bzw. Controlling verfolgt, die s\u00e4mtlich stark auf die Anwendung mit entsprechenden Anforderungen der Arbeitssituationen zielen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Allen Anwendungsbeispielen ist ihre Eignung f\u00fcr den Einsatz in mobilen und tragbaren Ger\u00e4ten gemein, dabei kommen die Vorteile neuromorpher Hardwarekomponenten, die leistungsstarke Rechenressourcen bei relativ geringem Energieverbrauch erm\u00f6glichen, besonders zum Tragen.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Clinomic wird in einem Teilprojekt von \u201eNeuroSys\u201d auf maschinellem Lernen basierende Anwendungen aus den vier Anwendungsbereichen f\u00fcr den mobilen Einsatz auf neuromorpher Hardware vorbereiten und optimieren.
