  • SmartSummary
  • Enables clinicians to quickly get a concise overview over a patient’s course during a defined timeframe, taking into account individual disease progression and other features. Especially in time-critical situations, this feature can be used to support fast individual medical decisions.
  • Using reinforcement learning and recurrent neural networks, the SmartSummary algorithm can individually weigh the importance of the data elements, taking into account disease progression, lab values and other clinical features. The trained models contain generalizable knowledge that is adapted to the individual patient case. The algorithm can then individually predict the course of the values and uses this information to provide the treating staff with information about the patient’s progress.
  • SmartChecklists
  • Provides a simple and efficient way to keep track of common ICU checklists (e.g. FAST-HUG) with the feature of automatically filling known data from the database.
  • During a patient stay in the ICU, a large number of checklists have to be worked through for each patient in regular time intervals. Many of the inputs however, are already known to the database and can therefore be fetched before they are shown to the clinician, thus saving work time that can be used for other medical tasks.

    With the SmartChecklist feature, Mona ensures proper processing and documentation of important standard checklists during an ICU stay. It only prompts the pending tasks to the clinicians, thus reducing the amount of information shown and avoiding confusion about the status of checklists. Furthermore, the automatic filling of items saves time, by avoiding unnecessary requests to the clinicians.

  • With MedicBI, Mona enables the use of medical information intelligently for economic, medical and content-related decisions, adressing one of the main challenges of economic and target-oriented medical action in the current healthcare system.
  • MedicBI is the intelligent assistance system for hospital decision makers. As a novel interface between physicians and databases, MedicBI enables medical professionals to make rational decisions based on data. With MedicBI, doctors and nurses can intuitively extract relevant information from the generated data via an intuitive interface without learning a complex syntax. Through natural language processing, MedicBI understands the relationships and connections in spoken and written natural language.   • With TeleICU, Mona enables clinicians to securely perform telemedicine through an encrypted audio-video connection, enabling specialist care at the patient bed. TeleICU does not require a specialized hardware setup and can be used with any modern internet browser.
  • Mona TeleICU is a secure, HIPAA-compliant telemedicine platform, enabling highly encrypted (X.509 certified Transport Layer Security) audio video-connections at the patient bed. Implementation of telemedicine as structural innovation improves the treatment and process quality. During the consultation, clinical partners will have the chance to discuss patient cases also with other clinical specialists, e.g. infectiologists, pharmacologists etc. in order to add specialized expertise to the treatment plan.
